Five delicious breakfasts you can make in five minutes

Sometimes, we’re in such a rush to get to work in the morning that we don’t have enough time to even make breakfast.

Here are five easy-to-make breakfasts that don’t require much time to make at all.

Chocolate coffee cupcake

You will need:

  • 3 tablespoons of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of instant coffee powder
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla

How to make it:

  1. Thoroughly mix together the flour, ground coffee, cocoa powder, sugar and baking soda in a bowl.
  2. Add the milk, egg, butter and vanilla. Beat the mixture with a fork until it becomes smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into a cup greased with vegetable oil. Place the cup in the microwave at high power for 90 seconds until the cake is ready. Remember not to overcook it!
  4. You can serve the cake with a scoop of ice cream.

 

’Bliss’-flavoured toast

You will need:

  • 2 slices of wheat bread
  • 1 tablespoon of chocolate paste
  • 1 banana

How to make it:

  1. Spread the chocolate paste over the slice of bread. Slice up the banana into circles and places the pieces on top.
  2. Cover with the second slice of bread and fry it on both sides in a pan with a little butter.

 

Mixed berry mousse

You will need:

  • 1 pack of Farmer’s Cheese/Quark
  • 100 g (3.5 oz) of strawberries (or other berries)
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tablespoon of honey

How to make it:

  1. Mix together the Farmer’s Cheese, strawberries, banana and honey in a food processor until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
  2. You can add some muesli or oatmeal flakes into the resulting mousse according to taste.

 

One-minute cheesecake

You will need:

  • 50 g (1.8 oz) of soft cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoon of sour cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar

How to make it:

  1. Mix together all of the ingredients, then pour the mixture into a microwaveable tray greased with butter.
  2. Bake the cheesecake on the highest setting for 90 seconds, stirring the mixture every 30 seconds.
  3. Allow it to cool, then add some fresh berries, whipped cream and chopped nuts (optional).

 

Sweet toast

You will need:

  • 100 g (3.5 oz) of milk
  • 3 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/2 bag of vanilla sugar
  • Vegetable oil (optional).
  • 8 slices of French bread
  • 3 eggs

How to make it:

  1. Beat the eggs together with both the ordinary sugar and vanilla sugar. Add the milk and mix together thoroughly (you can use a mixer).
  2. Dip the slices of French bread into the mixture for 2 minutes.
  3. In a pan, heat up some oil and add the slices of bread. Fry each side until it turns a golden-brown colour.
